A 50 something mum to two teenage boys and a dog mum to two fluffy sidekicks.
As a proud and often exasperated mum I am an unlicensed chauffeur, patient tutor, not so patient peace keeper, occasional referee and constant supplier of meals and snacks (at 6’4 and 6’1 their hollow legs take some filling)
when your children are teenagers, it is important to have a dog so that someone is pleased to see you
I have spent years working for others; running their finance and operations departments like well-oiled, military machines. I have always dreamed of working for myself – but life always had a way of putting my dreams on the back-burner.
However, entering my 50s was a turning point for me; a stark reminder that you only get one life; its not a rehearsal and if you’re not happy about something, change it.
So, I took a deep breath, took the leap…
… and here we are.
